ANNOUNCEMENTS
Small Boat Rack
Have you seen the latest edition to the beach? It's a boat rack!! No more lugging kayaks and canoes down to our sandy shores! If you are interested in a spot on the rack, then please call 410-798-1708. The Small Boat Rack user agreement is located on the Selby Beach Page of this website.
To Blog or Not To Blog
I've been writing the community newsletter that we have decided to put out digitally now and the process is just plodding along. I blog for the SRYA on the Patch and thought that it would be a great idea to try to do the same thing with the community newsletter. So, I'd like to ask everyone to take a look at the newsletter (the link is above under current newsletter) and to take a look at the blog (selbybaywinds.blogspot.com). The advantage of the blog is that it's continual and has labels so that it's easy to index topics. Also, there is an email sign-up so all new posts will get emailed to you directly. Take a look at both and cast your vote on the blog. Thanks!!!
Community Yard Sale
Thank you to everyone who joined in on our community yard sale. Hopefully everyone did well! Maybe we'll try to plan another in the fall before it gets wintery cold. Stay tuned to our Facebook Group. That was a great way of planning!
Thanks for the Memories!
The space shuttle Discovery made it's round over DC Tuesday late morning. Nick DiMauro (2nd Ave) was able to get a shot of this truly historical event. If anyone has any photos that they'd like to share, then please feel free to email them to SelbyBay@gmail.com.
Brush Fire at Holiday Point
When was the last time you saw rain? Everything is painfully dry and that fed the fire Sunday at Holiday Point Marina. According to the Edgewater patch, the 4 alarm fire called out 94 personnel, 40 land-based units and 2 fire boats. Popular rumor has that it may have been due to a flicked cigarette. Whether that's true or not, make sure anything remotely warm is properly disposed of. We don't want to see this again!! Photos have been posted on the photos page. Thank you to everyone who contributed their photos!!
Beach Parking Decals
Beginning April 19th, Dennis Gheen, our security dude, will be down at the beach every Thursday from 7:00pm - 8:30pm to hand out parking decals. Please bring your driver's license with you. If you can not be the beach at this time, then please email Bob.blasz@verizon.net or cptree@verizon.net (Dennis).
Shout Out!
Stay connected to your community!
